When skin looks tired, even when lines are not the problem.
Many patients describe the same thing: their skin simply does not look the way it used to. Not deep wrinkles, not sagging, but a gradual loss of smoothness and that even, healthy surface that makes skin look rested. Makeup sits differently. Pores seem more visible. The surface reflects light less evenly and looks shinier through the day.
This happens because the skin surface changes over time. Oil and hydration balance shifts and the surface becomes less uniform. These are changes in how the skin looks and behaves at its surface, and treatments aimed at deeper muscles or at volume do not address them, because that is not where the change is happening.
Skin quality, treated as its own goal.
G-Tox™ is a superficial injectable treatment that improves the appearance of pores, surface shine, and fine surface texture. Standard neurotoxin treatment relaxes the deeper muscles that create expression lines. G-Tox™ takes a different approach: very small amounts of neurotoxin are placed superficially, within the skin itself, using a proprietary skin-focused preparation.
Where a product is placed in tissue determines what it does. Standard treatment reaches the muscle to relax repeated movement, while G-Tox™ stays at the surface, where the goal is skin quality rather than softening expression. Because the dosing is superficial and conservative, it is not intended to change your expressions or noticeably reduce movement. The comparison below shows how the two approaches differ in practice.
How G-Tox Differs From a Traditional Neurotoxin Treatment
Standard Neurotoxin Treatment
- Depth
- Placed at the depth of the muscle.
- Dose
- Standard dosing intended to relax targeted muscles.
- Primary goal
- Softening dynamic expression lines such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet.
- Effect on movement
- Designed to reduce specific muscle movement.
- Typically chosen for
- Lines caused by repeated facial expression.
G-Tox™ Microdosing
- Depth
- Placed far more superficially, within the skin itself.
- Dose
- Very small amounts distributed across the surface (microdosing).
- Primary goal
- Improving the appearance of pores, surface shine, and skin texture.
- Effect on movement
- Subtle by design, not intended to noticeably change expression.
- Typically chosen for
- Skin-quality concerns rather than expression lines.
Neither approach is a substitute for the other. When skin quality and muscle activity are addressed together, the specific combination is selected clinically for your face and your goals, not applied as a fixed formula.
“G-Tox was developed for patients who wanted better skin quality without looking treated. It is subtle by design.”Dr. Scott Gerrish
Is G-Tox™ the right choice?
G-Tox™ is a skin-quality treatment focused on the surface of the skin. Matching it to the right concern is part of choosing the right treatment, whether it is used on its own or as a skin-quality layer within a broader plan.
G-Tox™ may help improve the appearance of
- the appearance of enlarged or visible pores
- an oily or shiny-looking surface
- the smoothness and evenness of skin texture
- the way makeup sits on the skin
- surface radiance and a rested, healthier-looking complexion
G-Tox™ may be appropriate for adults who
- are motivated primarily by skin-surface quality rather than expression lines
- prefer a subtle change rather than a noticeable reduction in expression
- have realistic expectations about a gradual, maintainable skin-quality treatment
- are looking for a maintenance option or one part of a broader skin plan
- are medically appropriate candidates for neurotoxin treatment
G-Tox™ is not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when a condition makes neurotoxin treatment unsuitable. Disclose neuromuscular conditions, prior reactions to neurotoxin, and current medications to the treating clinician. Skin that needs to settle or heal may need to recover before treatment.
Read our safety and suitability guide. How G-Tox Results Develop
Changes in surface texture, pore appearance, and shine develop over the days and weeks after treatment. Results vary and are temporary; G-Tox™ is not intended to create a sudden, complete, or one-time transformation.
Because G-Tox™ supports the look of the skin surface over time, the treating clinician may recommend it as a single refresh or as part of a longer-term skin plan.
Superficial microdosing can leave temporary small bumps or pinpoint marks at the injection sites. General preparation, recovery, and aftercare guidance is covered in the injectable patient guide.
Developed through experience, not purchased with a device.
G-Tox™ is a proprietary treatment protocol developed by Dr. Scott Gerrish, shaped by more than 30 years of aesthetic medicine, an engineering-informed understanding of how products behave in tissue, and years of protocol refinement.
The preparation and technique are proprietary. Treatment is delivered by our clinical team, with the treating clinician placing the microdoses and confirming that the approach is appropriate for your skin.
It reflects individualized care and thoughtful innovation, not a standardized formula.
Where G-Tox Fits in a Treatment Plan
G-Tox™ is often used as an additional layer, not as the only aesthetic treatment. When another treatment addresses a different component of facial aging or skin quality, G-Tox™ may contribute a distinct surface-level goal. Each treatment should solve a different problem; not every patient needs multiple treatments.
Movement
Traditional neurotoxin treatment may address specific muscles and dynamic expression lines, such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet.
Skin Quality
G-Tox™ may add a superficial skin-quality layer when pore appearance, surface shine, or fine texture are also concerns. Its objective differs from conventional intramuscular toxin placement.
Structure and Volume
Dermal fillers or biostimulatory treatments may address volume loss, structural support, or tissue remodeling. G-Tox™ is not intended to replace that work.
Texture, Pigment and Collagen
Laser and energy-based treatments, including resurfacing such as UltraClear, may address deeper texture change, scarring, pigmentation, photodamage, collagen remodeling, or laxity at another tissue level.
Medical-grade skincare may meet the goal on its own. For more advanced aging, a layered plan may be more appropriate than a single treatment. The assessment determines which approach makes sense.
The value of G-Tox is often not what it replaces, but what it can add to a treatment plan addressing several different layers.
